what would it take to launch DailyCandy Phoenix?
you shine at what you do when it's in your blood. Phoenix is (in the desert) the 5th most populated city (12th largest metro) in the U.S. what? weird? word.
assorted recent thoughts/conversations:
- chatting with a pair of moms whose daughters opened the first act of the Scottsdale School of Ballet at the Herberger Theatre grand re-opening/Festival of the Arts this morning, discussing why the event was so poorly publicized. I'm not even a native.
- befriending a local/non-local (Albany -> W.Virginia -> DC -> Phx transplant) duo on the Urban Wine Walk and catching up on the development of central Phx
- observing the local scene at the Biltmore (upscale outdoor fashion mall) Movies in the Park, contemplating their new Art in the Park series, monthly mini-artwalks hosted in conjunction w/select participating retailers
- dashing (literally) to catch a few precious minutes before closing at the Phx Art Museum on First Fri. to spot the Tatiana Sorekko (groundbreaking Russian model) exhibit
- chronicling assorted finds/un-finds on Yelp (http://eliusive1.yelp.com/) while learning the quirks/character of the Phx Yelp community
